BLACK MESA GUITARS IS FOR SALE!

After a great deal of soul-searching and consideration, I have decided to

put my business up for sale at the conclusion of the current run.

It was a tough decision. I've made a lot of friends over the years to whom I offer

my deepest heartfelt thanks, and I'm proud of the work we've done together.

But it's the right decision for me. Time is marching inexorably on, and Ro and I

really want to embark on the next phase of our life together which means

decoupling from the shop and the wonderful process I've been engaged in

for nearly twenty years now.

So here's the deal: I will sell the name (plus the reputation and goodwill built up over the years),

this website, the designs and all the templates to execute them, including bodies, necks, the

various requisite cavities, pickguards, etc..

Most importantly, I will hand over the detailed procedural manual I've compiled over the years.

Step-by-step directions for building the complete guitar, from raw lumber to lacquer,

worked out over nearly two decades of practical experience.

No need to re-invent the wheel; take advantage of all the R&D I've done!

All this for $25,000; less than you'd pay for a decent used RV or a couple of

presentation-grade shotguns. Keep it at the hobby level, or build it into a

world-wide household brand... the sky is truly the limit!

Up for negotiation is the inventory; the stash of figured wood aging in my wood vault,

some of it very unusual, all of it beautiful, and whatever parts and hardware

I have on hand including things like tuners, bridges, knobs, screws, electronics, etc.
